Atthowe’s Fine Art Riggers
At Atthowe Fine Art Services, leadership is built through mentorship, time in the field, specialized expertise, and since 2021, ownership as a worker-cooperative.
Today, we proudly recognize Benaiah Seilen as Atthowe’s Head Rigger. Since December 2023, and with an understanding of the importance of a thoughtful transition process, Benaiah has led major projects at Atthowe, working closely alongside longtime Head Rigger Esteban Granados and importantly on the ground with our full team of technicians, specialists, project managers, and other seasoned leaders at Atthowe. With a background in large-scale public artworks, rope access, rigging safety, and training, Benaiah brings new energy, leadership, and a steady expertise to every job.
At the same moment, after more than 30 years of extraordinary work at Atthowe, we bid a fond and teary farewell to our Head Rigger Esteban Granados who retired in June of this year. Esteban has been at the heart of some of our most complex rigging projects, and his legacy of precision, mastery, and mentorship runs deep at Atthowe.
During such a momentous handoff, it’s impossible not to recall Scott Atthowe, who founded the company over 50 years ago and spent decades personally training multiple generations of master riggers, including, of course, Esteban. It was in this spirit that in 2021, Scott transitioned Atthowe Fine Art Services to a worker-owned cooperative—entrusting the future of the business to the skilled people who make the work happen. As a worker co-op, we remain committed to carrying forward a legacy of shared ownership, excellence, leadership, and collaboration.
Join us in thanking Esteban for his decades of outstanding work, and celebrating Benaiah’s continued leadership as we look to the future!
